Hummingbird Bioscience wins APAC AI Discovery Award
Singapore-based Hummingbird Bioscience has been named the Asia Pacific Trailblazer Award winner at the 2026 Nebius AI Discovery Awards, recognising the company's AI-first approach to therapeutic discovery and development.
Selected from 647 submissions worldwide by an independent panel of 28 judges spanning pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions and venture capital firms, the award highlights organisations using artificial intelligence to advance innovation across biopharma, genomics, digital health, medical devices and medical imaging.
The recognition reflects the growing role of AI in accelerating drug discovery and reinforces Hummingbird Bioscience's progress in integrating computational approaches with experimental biology through its proprietary AI Molecular Medicine (AIMM) platform.

Hummingbird's AIMM platform combines artificial intelligence with laboratory validation to connect patient biology, target selection, molecular design and clinical development within a single discovery engine. Based in Singapore, the company has built integrated research capabilities while pursuing a global clinical development strategy spanning Asia, Europe and the United States.
The company's clinical pipeline includes HMBD-001, a HER3-targeting monoclonal antibody currently in Phase Ib/II trials, and HMBD-501, a HER3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate in Phase I development. Beyond oncology, Hummingbird is also advancing preclinical antibody-drug conjugate programmes targeting autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, demonstrating the broader applicability of its AI-enabled discovery platform.
According to the company, its AI-first strategy has already supported multiple strategic collaborations, licensing agreements and out-licensing transactions with global biopharmaceutical organisations. Hummingbird reports that its platform has generated four clinical-stage programmes and seven partnered or out-licensed assets, underlining the commercial and translational potential of combining AI with experimental biology.
The Nebius AI Discovery Awards recognise organisations applying artificial intelligence to address some of healthcare's most pressing challenges, with Hummingbird's award highlighting the increasing maturity of AI-driven drug discovery across the Asia-Pacific life sciences ecosystem.
